    Also reminds me a bit of? the UbuCon intro so the use of solidify seems to give good results also and that seems to work quite well with subsurf also.

    Hi Michalis. To have smooth surface You can add? Subsurface then Boolean and on the end edgeSplit.

    So am I right to assume that the scaling of? -1 only flips the normals and that causes that effect? What if you do not flip all normals, have you tried that?
