you know the part you notice a problem with the roll? I don’t use pivot much anymore either but I use flash and I think it’s ’cause when the figure went into his roll, his legs moved up before his hands reached the pistol. Make his legs go straight until his hands touch the ground and then make his body? move and his legs bend backwards. Then you can make his legs start to bend. You get what I’m saying?

Bend his knees and bend his arms up a little like as if they were up in a running position. Remember if you don’t know? how to do it just do it in real life in front of a mirror or watch a video of someone crouching.
