In this Tutorial Video we look at three methods for animating a brick figure walking. Method 1 is the most standard manner in brick animation. It looks the best when coupled with a 15 fps frame rate. Method 2 is a more smoother cycle however it requires twice as much time and petience. The end result is defenitly worth it. Method 3 is a speed walk which look comical and thus can be used in comical situations. Check out brickfilmschool.com for more videos and tutorials!

Easy solution. Just stick them down using masking tape. Ether by rolling it undernieth? or taping it across the corners. Good luck

Thanks a lot for this tutorial! Going to make a lego stop-motion for a project in school and had some troubles with how I was going to move the figures. The only question left for me is how you keep the “plates” the lego guys? walk on from moving? When I pop the legs up and such the thing they stand on always seem to move

Take a picture every frame, then? use a software (Like Windows Movie Maker) and search tutorials on how to make stop-motions with Windows Movie Maker.
