Truly amazing stuff indeed! But what is the difference between “special”
and “visual” effects? Can anyone explain this please?

Special effects are in-camera and on-set effects (explosions, actors
flying, etc) Visual effects are usually done in post-production with
computers, 3D software, compositing software, and so on. These are VISUAL
    effects, not SPECIAL effects.

If there’s anything you can expect Tim Burton to deliver, it’s amazing
    visual effects.

@marneebox To remove those lights you can use a simple mask, Most video
editor can do this. In the old days effects were done by “mate painting”,
The film was proyected on a matted glass, and a painter, painted the
elements, The compose image was filmed back. A lot of sets in star wars
were done this way. Today digital procesing can go beyond this, but the
main component is still creativity and a lot of work.

E’ fantastico! Forse per gli attori è un po’ brutto recitare senza nulla
attorno… Però dimostrano di essere bravi il doppio, dal momento che
devono recitare senza nulla attorno ma fingendo che invece ci sia qualcosa!
    Spettacolo.

@marneebox learning about VFX workflow takes months and months to do and is
many hours of work. if youre interested you should go to school to learn
about VFX or try to get a job at a studio
