@TheBeastBandit red truth is truth, but it’s subjective. for example, i could say “this game will not have a happy ending” but that depends on the person’s interpretation of a happy ending.
however, “there were no more than 18 people” only counts living humans. it DOES count split personalities, since each personality has their own life. but it does not count corpses, nor witches/demons, nor animals.

Now, question. With RED TRUTH in the context of “There were no more than 18 people…”, does it include corpses? Does it exclude split personalities? Does it include/exclude magical beings? I’ve been trying to decipher it myself, but GOLD TRUTH is the only truth I’ve grasped fully so far.

@Android2137 You were right, it said that there were NO MORE THAN 18 people on the island. RED TRUTH is tricky in that it can have multiple interpretations.
By the way, what is the criteria for GOLDEN TRUTH? It’s never directly stated, but here’s what I have gathered:
– It must be backed up by solid evidence.
– If stating a person you must state their first AND last name.
– Once stated, it can NEVER be disputed.
If I’m missing anything else please tell me.

@CyberSurfer3258 If Red states that there were 18 people, that would imply no more, no less. If Red states there were no more than 18 people, then that implies there could be less. I forget what the actual wording of that red truth was though.

@Android2137 Indeed! RED TRUTH in general still seems quite sketchy. It simply states something that you have to accept without going into detail, unlike the GOLDEN TRUTH. For example, it was stated in RED that there were 18 people on the island. It never said anything about a person’s death (Kinzo) or someone having multiple personalities (Yasu = Shannon / Kanon) which could count as 2 people.
On a sidenote, I always had a feeling that someone like Shannon was too good to be true…
