I agree with you. Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon and people should
stop looking for symbolism where there is none. The animator could easily
have used a strawberry instead and the story would be the same.

Awww! Such a cute story! Very good animation, and I love how you designs
the landscape, very simplistic and fast, but does it’s job well and fits
the design of the story. I loved how you designed the characters, though I
think I preferred the design of the little girl in the 2D ending. The
animation and motion is impeccable! Very good piece!

With this kind of animated medium of art, there are truly two kinds of
responses; one group will find deep dark and meaningful symbolism, and the
other will say ‘HEY HEY LOOK AT ME I’M AWESOME AT BAKING’. I prefer the
latter in this instance

Am I the only one that interpreted this as “girls want what they can’t
have”? Because how I saw it, she was always going for the cherry but the
chef kept taking it away from her saying she wasn’t allowed to just have a
cherry she had to have something better than that. So he substituted it
with other bigger, better things. And for him to actually let her have it
he changes what it really is so that it’s up to his standards as well. I
also see how people are getting the perverted interpretations.

Apology accepted. I haven’t seen it written anywhere where the artist
verifies that the video does or does not depicts a hidden story line. And
even if it did, people can see things differently. The same way two
different people can listen to the same song and hear two completely
different messages.

you’re right, I’m sorry for calling you sick and twisted. although, I
assure you, I am an fact, not ignorant to the fact that there are
subliminal messages out there. all I’m saying is, until the artist verifies
that this video depicts the deflowering of a small child, there is no way
to be certain that it is a subliminal message. most people out there just
want to make you smile with a whimsical story of a picky girl.

I’m fairly certain she just wanted a simple cherry but, like any chef, he
wanted to be overly complex and extravagant. in the end, less is more.its a
perfectly suitable life lesson for anyone…you people have sick twisted
