1) Making the asinine “go to work or die” nonsense is a credibility killer right at the outset. 2) Gov’t protection from rape and murder is not an economic activity and thus not an? intervention in the economy. 3) There is no “crime” being committed by corporation owners and stockholders (the whole “property is theft” idiocy even having been abandoned by Proudhon). 4) Capitalism hugely benefits workers without gov’t compulsion. 5) There’s nothing “undemocratic” about capitalism.
Nice try.

Absolutely not. Banking arose as a private sector invention. There is absolutely no justification for the government monopolization of the? currency.

Voluntary action? Do you honestly think that people have a choice? They either to go to work or die.
Freedom at its best.
Not to mention that something being voluntary doesnt make it right. You probably want the government? to protect you from murderers and rapists. Most corporation owners and stockholders are just criminals on a bigger scale so they must be enforced to do certain things they otherwise wouldnt.
Capitalism is anti-democracy.

I’m for free? markets, but what will we use as money?
Is not any Banking system a government?

You’ve gone too far on the left side of? the argument.
The ugly truth is, money can’t buy happiness but history tells us that when people of a country/kingdom of the past lose their source of wealth, they resort to violence. That is still the case, look at Egypt.
Wealth, health and happiness are 3 necessary conditions for living.

There’s no contradiction. When an economy is referred to by the layman as “capitalist” or “socialist” in common parlance that is shorthand for predominantly one or the other or more of one or the other in comparison to the remainder of countries. It does not mean that the economy is “classified” as capitalist nor is that usage appropriate scientifically. Only those activities that actually are the free? market are capitalist while all collective (not common) economic activity is socialist.

I’m pretty sure? that’s socialism…

See, that’s the contradiction, though. All economies are hybrid. Some economies are classified as capitalism. Therefore, a market doesn’t have to be Laissez Faire to be “Capitalism”?

Only if he is using the term correctly.
Capitalism is the free market (and works every time it is permitted to exist even in the midst of otherwise socialist countries as all economies are? hybrids).

People really don’t understand the awesome beauty of the Free Market and the destructive power of government intervention. Free Markets are voluntary action, but governments are force and violence.
if you want to learn about economics, i would recommend Milton Friedman, Henry Hazlitt, and when your ready, Murray? Rothbard.

Are you literally trying to argue that Laizzez Faire Capitalism? is the only form of Capitalism?
Milton Moneyer

Get your facts straight. Corporatism, Cronying etc etc? is not Capitalism. True capitalism means a totally free market economy. Laissez Faire. Now, rename the video ”Crises of Regulations”

He mentions that maybe everyone read a little too much hayek and deregulated too much. but the federal reserve haa been doing keynesian economics basically since its? exception.

This video is? all fine and dandy, but it’s not presenting the flaws in capitalism, it’s talking about cronyism, what happens when government gets involved in the free market.

In the USA & virtually? all of the developed nations, ALL people are treated fairly, for instance, innocent until proven guilty regardless of income level, provided with free edu up to class 12, free to roam arround wherever (except on private property & most public buildings), can apply for any job for which they think themselves qualified, and are free to start a business. Most Dominoes Pizza franchisees began as pizza deliverers. Not proven you wrong, unmasked you.

Only a really tiny percent of people are happy with very little, and self-reports of happiness are unreliable. If people in poor nations were “happy” with their poverty we would not expect them to try to get more via education & initiative, which is what we see, can? measure, independent of self-reporting. Self-reports of unhappiness in wealthy nations may be due to godlessness, as the religious tend to self-report as happier, and religion is still central in most poorer nations….

“The goal of ALL people is to be wealthy” Have you ever heard of the Easterlin paradox? It has been scientifically proven that wealth doesn’t buy happiness. Capitalist cultures are perverse because individuals? are brainwashed into pursuing things that don’t make them happy.
I don’t deny that some people are more intelligent then others. I’m simply saying that ALL people deserve to be treated fairly, even dumb ones. You can insult me all you want but you aren’t proving me wrong.

Societies more advanced in what way? I think you just don’t get “life”. Rarely have the lower classes shown exemplary behavior, one of the few instances I can think of is the Satyagraha movement co-opted by Gandhi. In that case, due to utterly unreasonable meddling by England in the economy of India, nice people found themselves not only impoverished, but blocked from seeking prosperity. Nowadays the nice people of India seek? prosperity via capitalism & free-ish markets. The proletariat rapes.

…your platitudes which you think to be gilded are totally phony and you know it. I think it likely you are relatively untalented & unable to compete, as such persons often adopt pious social platitudes in hopes of gaining something – a act of lying out of desperation. but people are so kooky in developed nations that they will not count their blessings, such? as piped water & sewage systems, and will cry “poverty”, while many in India would trade places with them in an instant.

People don’t cooperate except with regard to seeking self-advantage. Sometimes someone help another for non-selfish reasons, but such represents only a small fraction of their time? & fortune, except in the case of some very wealthy persons who may give 1/2 away, yet the 1/2 they retain is more than enough. The goal of ALL people is to be wealthy, and so “we” can’t make that happen, except perhaps if a new energy source is found that is about 10 times more energy-dense than petroleum. more…

Wow we really never know how much time we have on this world and yet people are more than willing to waste that time…they complain about what’s wrong instead of trying to fix what’s wrong…they want more when they have enough…what is it that this world offers that can satisfy your hunger? Nothing….and with that we will all turn to dust and our? history and our lives will be forgtten
