Well, that’s a good point, but I think he could have toned it down a bit so it was easier to watch. Again, I remember the movie for the horrific violence and not? the actual genius concept.
I agree. To this day I’m still not sure what Kubrick was trying to get across with the excessive? violence and sex in this movie. Most people naturally left the theater afterwards thinking about the horrific violence and not the actual genius concept of the film. Also, it gets very boring towards the end. The last third feels like the last half. The whole movie is like a horrible violent nightmare you have when you’re really sick with a fever.
Thanks for the? advice. This Bunny Short made me not really wanna watch it. And now from your comment, it’s confirmed. Goodness. eff that kind of movie. :
I know! It’s really bizarre. It’s kind of like a taboo and controversial subject so it is really strange why the media is fairly obsessed with it. It’s mainly just for controversy and shock factor. And overall that’s probably a good decision. The acting in the movie, especially by the lead Malcolm McDowell, was phenomenal, but the violence and sex in it was a little over the top for most people. It’s your decision? but I recommend not seeing it if you’re squeamish and have an aversion to violence
Wow. I find it kind of weird how popular it is among famous people, I see many singers dress up as..Alex, the main character? Is that his name? Well anyways I don’t think I will since all in all it’s fake and I’ve seen movies and shows like that before. I don’t think it will be too big of a problem for me so I’m just not going to make this a big deal just to watch a? movie.
Well, I wouldn’t recommend seeing it until you’re much older. I saw it my first time when I was 13 and the concept of the movie was WAY over my head. I had to? stop it halfway in. It is extremely disturbing and unsettling. I’ve seen so many violent and disturbing movies, but this one still remains the worst of all I have seen. It is basically about a man in a gang who is very evil and loves to kill and rape. If you are uncomfortable seeing people being raped and beaten to death, do not watch it.
I’m under 18 and my sister has watched it before, she’s much older than 18? and she was going to watch it with me but we couldn’t find it on Netflix. I think I’ll be better off watching it by myself because honestly that’s when I actually take things seriously and I’ve been wanting to see it.

So, the book by Anthony Burgess contains all this sex and violence… But Kubric had to let? those passages out?

Do not watch the movie if? you’re under 18. It’s extremely disturbing and takes a lot of maturity to watch.
