3d showreel architecture

19 Dec

This reel shows a collection of artwork I have created in 2009 for a diversity of international clients. Also stay tuned for my upcoming motion graphics showreel. www.building-power.de
Video Rating: 4 / 5

This short movie aims to introduce some of the problems associated with dyslexia through the central theme Dyslexia, is it a gift? At the same time delivers an inspirational message of hope and brings awareness of the issue to the wider audience. This was my final year project for Bachelor of Graphic Design at AUT NZ, and is intended for educational purposes only. Β© 2008 Filip Boskovic.

Yes, My school had a Visual Intelligence test. I got stuck at the last question because it was so incredibly easy I thought it was a? trick question, after doing the question so many times in all available methods I could come up with, I just got the same answer, so i just went with the answer i got since the first 3 seconds.

The examiner congratulated me, I was the 2nd person in his career to ever get the answer.

Would you trade an ability like that for correct spelling?

wtf would choose reading over perceiving multidimensionally and thought as reality? why multidimensionally rather than say 3d or 2d. are they in the fourth dimension looking at the common mortal from all angles at once. someone needs to explain? that.

    December 20, 2012 at 1:48 pm

How is experiencing thought as a reality an advantage? i guess maybe in the work feild, but i? have some pretty scary thought . . .

the water is rain, and its talking about business rainmakers
No one said it yet, but most rainmakers have dyslexia? or something along that line such as Asperger syndrome. when i refer to line i mean autism spectrum.

    December 20, 2012 at 4:08 pm

It would be great, especially if you could pass on your Mental Index Structures to them (& I know EXACTLY what you mean by that, for I do the same), & I imagine they’d find them invaluable. A great project to catalogue them! Are you using a computer to model them? When I was in school (it’s a while? ago!) I used an actual modelling kit — could not have got through 1st year chemistry without it! πŸ™‚ But as above, I’m a top-down learner, not a bottom-up; & I wonder how many of us are the same.

  37. Loribyn

    December 20, 2012 at 4:21 pm

Actually I agree, there is something about water, isn’t there? Almost magical. And I find mathematics hard too … excruciating! But I realised one day? that I can do it, I’m just slower than most & I still am, but I can ‘get’ ANY mathematics now, for D is a gift & it was never understanding it that I found difficult, just using it. Try your Uni’s best mathematician for a top-down lesson, for ironically, for me it was studying Einstein’s Relativity equations that made me figure it all out!

I think you are spot on with that mate.?

  39. Jared Lafferty

    December 20, 2012 at 4:50 pm

I absolutely build 3D models in my head to study! I do that for all my classes. Im actually trying to catalog them all I call? them Mental Index Structures . I’m really based in rhetoric not arithmetic. Im very logical, this is why I prefer the scientific method. I have thought about mentoring and trying to help upcoming kids with Dyslexia like me, so they dont have to go through what I did.

My favorite shape is a Reuleaux triangle. And yes I have always used symmetry as a tool, because I associate most everything with a shape in my head it makes things easier. Math on the other hand is extremely hard for me. But I have realized that the square roots of numbers is easier in a way than the cubic roots ( thats just me tho) I think that it kinda has somthing to do with symmetry bc one is a even # and? one is not. My favorite molecule is Dihydrogen monoxide H2O

  41. Loribyn

    December 20, 2012 at 5:54 pm

So, what’s your favourite molecule? (And don’t tell me you don’t have one — if you’re Dyslexic too I know better!). Mine’s DNA — isn’t it beautiful?! It’s like a perfect Mozart symphony! I practically hear it sing, I’m sure ~ with all it’s notes, sharps & flats, chords & harmonies. And I always liked the ones that are perfectly symmetrical — they just naturally made sense to me somehow ~? like the squares and cubes in Mathematics. Do you find the same? And do you have a favourite shape?

  42. Loribyn

    December 20, 2012 at 6:46 pm

What a shame I can only give this one thumbs-up. It’s worth at least ten! πŸ™‚ Do you build three-dimensional models for your study of chemistry, more than written ones ~ so you can see them in your head? That’s what I did … worked a charm! Several kids here need to hear your story … why not keep going? And of course, as a? Dyslexic success, there’s always mentoring! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!) πŸ˜€

Dyslexia has no cure for it is NOT a disease. You are different NOT stupid! I am Dyslexic too – severely – and I know you can learn to do school-work. And when you do you will be better at it than anyone. Because people like us are? MORE intelligent than the rest NOT less, we just learn differently. As a result we NEED to be taught differently. Don’t give up. xxx

  44. Loribyn

    December 20, 2012 at 8:32 pm

It IS a gift — I’m severely Dyslexic but I can do it, and so can you. School is designed for idiots, and if you are Dyslexic then you? are the opposite. Don’t give up, there are ways you can do it too – I promise. Get the Davis programme, or something like it, if you haven’t already devised your own. Talk to your teachers and parents and BE SPECIFIC about what’s hard. They can help. xxx

  45. Loribyn

    December 20, 2012 at 9:09 pm

Is it a gift?! No question of it — absolutely it? is. It is not any form of disability at all, but quite literally a different learning ability. Leonardo was Dyslexic, so was Einstein … sound like a curse to you? Uh uh. The Dyslexic IQ starts at 130 … or what it takes to get into Mensa, and most are FAR above that. It is a gift indeed!

dyslexia is a mind set people with dyslexia are affected in differing ways? to different people it has effected my spelling and math personally but i excel at computing i am currentley in collage and am doing well i take longer to learn but that don’t mean i cant learn

    December 20, 2012 at 9:30 pm

It is a gift abosoulty! I couldnt? read till I was 8 years old. Now Im a junior in college studying Chemistry, and making good grades. Once you learn to in-code information in a way that you understand it makes ALL parts of life easier. The difficult part is figuring out what works for you in your head. Once you do that you can capitalize on Dyslexia.
