Notice that most of these movies came out AFTER Walt died. Couldn’t do anything without him? I’m sure he’s rolling in his grave. Cheap skates.

Those animators are crazy. When you’re good as them I believe its ok to reuse, but, try not too much and not too obvious (and of course, not in the same movie twice like in jungle book with the snake and the knob in his tail.)
Robin Hood was still a good movie, and much better than the awful Russel Crowe film.
These guys never stop recycling. There’s even one scene in the Princess and the Frog featuring that alligator which was recycled from the scene with that witch in the Sword in the Stone
that is amazing, it’s intriguiging to see how that’s been done in more than one classic scene 🙂 thanks
@sixpointneuf It’s not lazy animation. Animating a full length movie is difficult and takes a hell of a lot of time. Every single animation studio does things like this to save time and money. Even comic book artist things like this.
i swear it is only robin hood that has reused animations it seems, doesn’t account for all disney movies. This is 3.29 out of the many different disney films, not a major big deal

It’s not that lazy. Animating a full-length movie the old fashioned way was HARD freaking work, so it’s totally understandable they’d take some short cuts when they had to.

@Cogirl001 Personality-wise, yes. But her design and animation is based on Dutchess from Aristocats.
Some of that is literally recycled base animation, but other footage is an homage to earlier Disney films like Snow White. I didn’t realize just how much tribute footage to Snow White was in Robin Hood. Robin Hood itself is basically the English legend as told by Rudyard Kippling (let’s face it; Baloo IS Little John). It’s good to see some stuff that was reanimated to match the movements of premier films.
Oh, and you missed Mowgli and the boy from “Small One.”

I have to say, even win this, I still think Robin Hood was one of the best Disney movies, much better than that Russell Crowe travesty anyways.

@MunkyBo11ecks thanks for the input. by “a loss” I mean unambiguous loss, one that most people would agree is a loss – no relativism. I think in The West we do have a meritocracy. “Run a society” – who is capable of running a society? The current system in which people run their own lives – play a game with rules for fair or semi-fair play (no fouls allowed) has worked well. Anyway, dreams without identifying energy & resource sources, aquistion & distribution – are only dreams.

This depends entirely on the situation, outcome and whos eyes you see it from.
Perhaps our “Economy” is a highly bias and detrimental way to run a society?
Perhaps a society that was able to find the best talents of people and reward them accordingly would be more to my taste. Yes, idealism. Its good for the soul. So is a stark, cold, realistic view of life.
As a tutor, I have found what you say is so true. Many of my students are misdiagnosed with learning disabilities because there are several conditions that can mimic or even cause learning disabilities such as Sotopic Sensitivity, prolonged periods of stress, different learning styles, ext.

I love this clip! It’s so true!! The first thing our education system is guided by is .. money. This is very sad, especially since Scientists are paid so poorly. Without improvements in Science, scientific inventions and research, how can we evolve? Solve common diseases, illnesses, climate conditions etc.? So sad. We need Global leaders with knowledge in Science and we need to pay Scientists, including Science Teachers more!!!!!!!!!

@alicesaysespero well knowing jobs are given to others with good results, the intelligent kids would go for that goal perhaps knowing that these tests dont base on intellegence rather remembering making the kids who are getting A’s on their tests…intelligent!
@Dudleyteaches in order to learn the same amount, let alone what changing it according to this video would do. If we were truly running this country the way we should, things here would be about 100 times better than they are now. The reason we don’t is because the governments, not the the US but all over the world, are greedy and power hungry, and they instantly shut out anything that opposes those ideals.
@Dudleyteaches The governments don’t want us to have good things because it would empower us, if we were empowered then we could rise up against them and truly run this country the way it should be ran, things would be far better than what they are now. The educational system would improve so much it’s not even funny, I’ve even got things on my computer that if everyone were to be taught it, and that was the only thing changed, we would only need about 3 hours a day instead of 8…
@Dudleyteaches even though it would put the oil companies out of business we could just have them all convert to water power companies. Our need for foreign oil would drop like a rock and we would get all our money back very quickly, I’ve also made a design for an incredibly efficient generator that is almost twice as good as regular generators and produces no pollution, not quite using the same water engine concept but still the fact remains clear…
@Dudleyteaches Yeah, I don’t want to sound like a jerk, but the key word in what you said was “supposed” we should run the government in the US, but we don’t. If we did things would be much better than they are now, I’ve already learned some people have made water powered engines that can move a car 100 miles on a CUP of water vs a GALLON of gasoline, and produce little if any pollution. If we ran the US those engines would already be used…
In the United States, the people are supposed to run the government. In countries such as this, perhaps we can change the educational system. I know I am trying my best. It may take years but it can and should be done for the future.
I am a teacher and I think that he makes a lot of sense. The educational system should be revamped. Students learn better in cooperative groups. When students get into the “real” world, they will not be given standardized one answer only tests.
Certainly the basics need to be taught. Grammar rules and math problems have only one solution. Students also need to know their basic history and science facts but they can be taught differently then we do today. Cooperative groups work.
Sadly, no matter how much we bitch and complain, we will never change the educational system. Many governments don’t want free thinkers, they want obedient drones just smart enough to do the jobs that keep the world running, and just dumb enough to quickly accept the new crap thrown on them. If the governments truly wanted to improve the educational system they would have done this 20 or more years ago.
