Thanks man! I’ve been pretty busy recently, but I really want to get
another one up soon. Got any ideas? Sometimes, successful ideas are a
“how-to” of an effect that you’ve seen somewhere on the internet, but there
are no tuts for it. If you’ve seen a good one recently, send me a link!!!
🙂 I’ve got a couple of ideas, but not certain yet. Thanks again!

I’ve come a cross this also. This happens when a project file is from an
older version of C4D. The Glow plugin ID 1001401 is just the standard glow
plugin that the old version used. R14 has changed them, and now things like
glow and Subsurface scattering all have different ID’s. I haven’t come a
cross any way to change to the new plugin whilst keeping all the old plugin
data. Sorry mate, bit of a bummer, I know. I’m gonna look into it. I’ll let
you know if I find anything :)thks4 the nice words

You mean the Glued finish one? that’s just a white font on black background
with a splatter image… also white. or did you mean something else?

I would say it’s a graphics driver issue. for some reason rendering uses
the CPU, and display ports in draft mode use the GPU. If the drivers are
out of date or just old, then it’s highly likely a brand new piece of
software like R14 will not work properly.. 🙁

A question from a noob on C4D. I downloaded a text template, and I open it
and it says “Several plugins used in this project are missing. Saving may
cayse loss of plugin data! Plugin ‘Glow’ (ID 1001401)”. I have been looking
all over the internet for this plugin but I can’t for the love of god find
it, would appriciate help if possible, thanks. Nice video btw!

Did you finish the tutorial? I’d like to see the result if you don’t mind
🙂 It would be a nice gauge of how good the tutorial was, and so I can see
what I need to explain better…
