It’s something that should only be done when there’s no alternatives. It does work – it can produce results that well, other methods cannot. But it does have serious issues like weakening? the patient physically and there are complications like illnesses that the patient can get as a result of this operation. It’s not a magic wand.
I had a friend who had serious issues with weight and, they felt they were lost, having tried aerobic exercise, diets, and other ideas with little success.
It is? so sad that people without weight problems are so judgmental and condescending toward people who have made a tough life changing decision. Here is my suggestion keep your opinion to yourself cause it doesn’t foster anything positive. Leave fat people alone we have it rough enough.

just had mine on the 18th…. went in at 425lbs back in Nov 2012, I lost 108 pounds by april 18th 2013 right? before the operation date… There was a few pushback on my original date, so thats why I lost a little more. I am scared shitless of the future and what it holds for me… butI figure it cant be worst then what I was going through now and the future and current health issues I had. Good luck to all of you!
Hi, my nurse recommended me having a bypass, and I have a appointment with my dietician next month to discuss this. I now been reading stories that people seem to regret the surgery. I’m no hestitant. I struggled with wieght all my life, and I really don’t want to the bypass with side effects. I have saw your post, and it seems you didn’t regret it, can I ask how you recovery was, and how has your eating habits changed, do you? feel weak after recovery, any regrets?
I took it 1 week ago, and I hate it 🙁 I have mood swings, I’m always hungry, but when I drink a little bit to much of my shake, I feel sick and vomit.
The good thing is that I’ve lost? 3-4 kilos in a week.
